How WiMN Works

WiMN operates without a hierarchical structure or a central leadership position, and works on the principle of mutual accountability, by peers in ministry.

WiMN is member-led with an elected Council who oversee the general operations of the network, including the annual ministerial reviews. Council Officers are elected to serve for three years.

There are four simple steps to becoming an accredited member of WiMN:

1. APPLY – prospective members must first complete a WiMN application form. Applicants will then complete a CIC application form that explores issues of governance, standing within the community, vision, and the level of personal, theological and practical integrity of the minister or ministry.

2. ATTEND – applicants are invited for an interview. The interviews take place in person or online and are an opportunity to explore in greater detail the answers given in the application form and to help establish a culture of accountability from the outset.

3. AGREE – successful applicants must pay an annual membership support fee, commensurate with the scale of ministry, to cover our administrative costs.

4. COMMIT – WiMN is non-hierarchical and has a mutual-accountability structure that does not undermine vision or autonomy. Members commit to attend an annual review with a fellow WiMN member of similar experience who has been elected to the Council and is equipped to encourage ministerial progress and engage with any issues that may have arisen during the last 12 months.
